Mr. Meehan is an associate in the Commercial Litigation, International Arbitration and Intellectual Property groups. His practice focuses on representing international clients, including foreign states and state-owned enterprises, in high-stakes U.S. litigations and international arbitrations relating to foreign state expropriations, securities law violations and other complex commercial disputes. Mr. Meehan has handled all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and post-trial appeals and post-judgment enforcement proceedings.
Mr. Meehan has extensive experience litigating matters of sovereign immunity under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. Mr. Meehan also has considerable experience representing clients in various intellectual property matters, ranging from patent and trademark infringement actions to licensing disputes to counseling clients on various internet and social media issues.
Mr. Meehan is also a member of the firm’s Economic Sanctions and Anti-Corruption Group, which advises clients on matters pertaining to economic sanction regimes, export controls and anti-corruption laws.
