Mr. de la Fuente is an associate in the Corporate, Finance and Infrastructure Development groups. His practice focuses on energy, infrastructure, commodities, finance and corporate matters.
Mr. de la Fuente has represented global energy companies participating in, as well as the convening authorities conducting, international public tenders in Latin America. Moreover, Mr. de la Fuente has represented global energy companies in direct negotiations with project development and project financing. He has experience in structuring joint ventures and negotiating directly with governmental agencies and private companies commercial supply and off-take agreements, operating agreements, engineering, procurement contracts, asset management agreements, various technical agreements, as well as project financing with both development banks and institutional investors.Mr. de la Fuente also has experience representing clients in various aspects of corporate and commercial transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of energy related and real property assets in multiple jurisdictions, leasing, due diligence review, multiple sale-leaseback transactions involving portfolios valued over $1 billion in the aggregate, and other general corporate matters.
