Mr. Kochumov is an associate in the International Arbitration group. His practice focuses on investor-state arbitration and international commercial arbitration proceedings under the auspices of various arbitral organizations including the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Mr. Kochumov has practiced drafting and implementing multilateral and bilateral international agreements, including those regulating economic relations. He also has experience in drafting international regional conventions and agreements in the fields of stable development, environment protection, development of the sea-bed resources and its subsurface, expert evaluation of commercial agreements entered into by business entities, consulted on improvement of forms of management and matters related to legal business structures of functioning of the legal entities.
Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Kochumov worked in the government sector and was engaged in the establishment and development of legal relations in the investments, tax, transport and communications, fuel and energy sectors.
Mr. Kochumov has participated in the development of a number of bilateral and multilateral international legal documents from the early stage of drafting and until their signing, including but not limited to the determination of the Caspian Sea, participating in all formats of negotiations from their inception up until year 2010.
Yagmur Kochumov has published more than 40 scientific and non-scientific papers.
