Mariana Gómez Vallin
Mariana Gómez Vallin is an associate in the International Arbitration and Corporate groups, where she primarily advises States and State-owned entities. In particular, she centers her practice on arbitrations conducted under the auspices of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Further to her dispute resolution focus, Ms. Gómez Vallin also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general commercial matters.
Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Gómez Vallin served as a legal intern handling Mexican and international intellectual property matters, providing legal assistance in trademarks, patents, and copyright law.
While in law school, Ms. Gómez Vallin received a scholarship for academic excellence from the Miguel Aleman Foundation. She also participated as a junior coach and member of the Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team in Hong Kong, China.
She currently serves as an editorial assistant for the Latin American Journal of International Trade Law.
