Valerie Ellis is counsel in the International Trade group, where she focuses her practice on international trade regulation, litigation and dispute settlement. She has extensive experience in a wide range of trade matters including anti-dumping and countervailing duty, customs, escape-clause relief, World Trade Organization matters, and anti-boycott compliance. She also advises companies on regulatory approvals required for foreign investments in the United States that have national security implications.
Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Ellis began her career at the U.S. Department of Commerce. She subsequently spent time in private practice as a trade lawyer, before returning to Commerce to advise on AD-CVD compliance and enforcement matters in international trade.
