Curtis Promotes Linda Galler To Senior Tax Counsel In New York

 

New York, November 10, 2014 – International law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP has announced the promotion of Linda Galler to Senior Tax Counsel. She is based in the firm’s New York office. 

Ms. Galler, who joined Curtis in 2000, focuses her practice on international and corporate taxation. She also works on procedural tax issues – advising and representing taxpayers in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service. She has been recognized as a leader in professional responsibility and ethics in the context of tax practice.

Ms. Galler serves as a Professor of Law at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she has taught tax law for the past 27 years. Her teaching and scholarly interests are focused in the areas of international taxation, corporate taxation, tax lawyer's ethics, administrative law and court procedure.

She is a frequent speaker on tax ethics and is co-author of "Regulation of Tax Practice," published by LexisNexis as part of its Graduate Tax Series, as well as numerous law review articles and other legal publications.

Ms. Galler has chaired the Standards of the Tax Practice Committee and the Teaching Taxation Committee of the ABA Section of Taxation.

She earned her LL.M in Taxation from the New York University School of Law, her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and her B.A., with honors, from Wellesley College.
