Curtis Boosts Rome Office Again with Addition of Carmine Gravina as Counsel

Rome, November 5, 2015 – Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP continues to strengthen its new Rome office as Carmine Gravina has moved to the international law firm as counsel in its Corporate and M&A practices.

Mr. Gravina is the second major recent addition to Curtis in Rome.  Dino Dima joined Curtis as a partner there on October 1, also in the Corporate and M&A practice groups.  The two accomplished lawyers will be part of a team that advises and represents private companies, multinational corporations, financial institutions and sovereign entities on general corporate and finance matters.

Mr. Gravina comes to Curtis from Simmons & Simmons where, as managing associate, he advised both domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and energy matters.   He has focused on the renewable energy sector in particular.  Mr. Gravina has also worked in the corporate department of several prominent Italian law firms.

“Adding both Carmine Gravina and Dino Dima this month illustrates how Curtis’ operations are expanding in Rome where we opened a year ago,’ said Galileo Pozzoli, managing partner of the firm’s Rome and Milan offices.  “Curtis has become an attractive home for Italian legal talent and an appealing firm to handle corporate acquisitions and energy matters involving Italian concerns.”

“Curtis’ international footprint provides me with an ideal platform to take advantage of my experience handling cross-border and domestic M&A transactions, international joint ventures and investment contracts for companies based either inside or outside of Italy,” said Mr. Gravina.

Mr. Gravina is admitted to both the Rome Bar and the New York State Bar. He earned his JD from Università degli Studi di Roma, “La Sapienza”, and his LL.M. in Corporation Law at New York University School of Law.  He has written about corporate matters for several international periodicals and spoken about mergers and acquisitions at industry seminars and postgraduate schools.
