Turnarounds & Workouts Selects Curtis Partner Steven J. Reisman For Its Annual ‘Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers’ List
NEW YORK, January 14, 2009 – Curtis partner Steven J. Reisman has been named an ‘outstanding restructuring lawyer’ by Turnarounds & Workouts. The newsletter ran the annual list in its December issue.
Reisman was one of twelve lawyers nationwide to be selected to this year’s list. Each finalist will be recognized at the annual Corporate Reorganizations Conference dinner to be held in Chicago this June.
Reisman was recognized for his role as conflicts counsel on a number of high-profile bankruptcies, including cases for Lehman Brothers, Bally Total Fitness, Calpine, Musicland Holdings, and Northwest Airlines. The publication also noted his representation of Gordon Brothers Group in the out-of-court liquidation of CompUSA, reported to be one of the largest.
“We congratulate Steven, who is rightly being recognized for his outstanding work on several complex and challenging assignments,” said Curtis Managing Partner Matias Vega. “Steven's work and efforts for his clients demonstrate the sophisticated nature of our practice and the quality of client service for which we are known.”
