Maryann Gallagher Joins Curtis Restructuring And Insolvency Practice as Counsel

 

NEW YORK, February 6, 2009 – Leading international law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP is pleased to welcome Maryann Gallagher as counsel in its Restructuring and Insolvency group. Gallagher will reside in the Firm’s New York office and will represent both debtors and creditors in various restructurings and reorganizations.

“Curtis is one of the most active firms advising on restructuring matters, and Maryann’s arrival reinforces the significant bankruptcy capabilities that we already offer our clients,” said Steven J. Gallagher has been advising on bankruptcy, corporate and litigation matters in various capacities for nearly 20 years. She has represented chapter 11 debtors, official and unofficial committees of creditors and bondholders, as well as secured and unsecured creditors with particular focus on avoidance actions in cases of large retailers, airlines and manufacturers. Prior to joining Curtis, Gallagher served as a consultant at NYSE Euronext, protecting the interests of NYSE and its affiliates in reorganizations, liquidations, receivership and administration proceedings. She holds a J.D. from Rutgers University and an LL.M. in taxation from New York University, as well as a B.A., summa cum laude, from Tufts University.

With one of the most active restructuring and insolvency practices, Curtis is fully equipped to tackle all manner of bankruptcy and reorganization issues on behalf of clients.
