Delphine Knight Brown Joins Curtis as Partner in Intellectual Property Litigation

 
New York, NY, October 5, 2010 – International law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP has announced that Delphine Knight Brown has joined the firm as a partner in intellectual property litigation. She will be based in the New York office.

Ms. Knight Brown comes to Curtis from Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, where she handled complex intellectual property and technology litigation.  

“Delphine Knight Brown is an accomplished patent and IP litigator who will be a strong addition both to our trial group and our entire intellectual property practice,” said Eliot Lauer, co-chair of Curtis’ Litigation department. “Delphine's trial and advisory experience handling a wide range of cases will add significantly to the existing Hatch-Waxman and general patent and IP litigation capacity that we have developed at Curtis"

Ms. Knight Brown brings to Curtis significant experience representing foreign businesses and their subsidiaries and affiliates in legal proceedings in the United States. She has represented corporations in state and federal courts nationwide in pretrial, trial, arbitrations and appellate proceedings.

Ms. Knight Brown has managed cases involving patent infringement, including Hatch-Waxman cases and other intellectual property issues, accounting and securities fraud, corporate reorganizations, complex contractual disputes, and unfair trade practices. Her patent litigation practice has involved pharmaceuticals, medical devices, computer hardware and software and business processes.

She is admitted to the Bars of the States of New York and Connecticut, U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, District of Connecticut and the District of Columbia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Knight Brown earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.A. from Princeton University.
