Curtis Bolsters Real Estate Practice in Germany with Addition of Tobias Nuss as Counsel

Frankfurt, December 10, 2012 - Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP has announced that Dr. Tobias Nuss has joined the international law firm as counsel, where he will focus on real estate and other corporate matters, in Germany and cross-border.  He will be based in the firm's Frankfurt office, part of Curtis' English-registered limited liability partnership.

Dr. Nuss advises companies, shareholders, boards of directors, banks and institutional investors on real estate matters, including national and cross-border transactions and real estate financings.

He comes to Curtis from Linklaters, where he spent the past six-and-a-half years in Frankfurt and London focusing on real estate work.  During his time there, Dr. Nuss advised Union Investment Real Estate GmbH on two major shopping center acquisitions in Germany. He also counseled UBS AG during the sale of the  landmark Opernturm in Frankfurt.

"Tobias Nuss is an important addition to Curtis in Frankfurt," said Marc V. Kramer, managing partner of the Curtis Frankfurt office.  "His strong experience with transactional matters, particularly real estate, further strengthens our ability to serve clients with both domestic and cross-border deals, in particular with Germany's commercial and residential real estate market seeing continued strong demand from both domestic and foreign investors."

"Curtis' strong international platform will enable me to expand my practice and team up with some of Germany's most highly regarded lawyers," said Dr. Nuss.

Dr. Nuss earned his doctorate at the Law Faculty of the Bavarian Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg and his Master of Laws at the University of Queensland in Australia.  He served his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Bamberg.

The Curtis Frankfurt office, established in 1990, handles cross-border and domestic transactions for clients in Germany and throughout the world.
