Ms. Gallagher is counsel in the Restructuring and Insolvency group. Her practice focuses on the representation of debtors, committee, creditors and other constituents in various restructurings and reorganization, including recent representations as conflicts counsel to a major health club operator, a Minneapolis-based daily newspaper and as counsel to the official committee of unsecured creditors of a development stage mobile satellite service provider.
Ms. Gallagher has been advising on bankruptcy, corporate and litigation matters in various capacities for nearly 20 years. She has represented Chapter 11 debtors, official and unofficial committees of creditors and bondholders, and secured and unsecured creditors with particular focus on avoidance actions in cases of large retailers, airlines and manufacturers. Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Gallagher served as a consultant at NYSE Euronext where her duties included protecting the interests of NYSE and its affiliates in reorganizations, liquidations, receivership and administration proceedings. Earlier in her career, Ms. Gallagher was associated with some of the largest restructuring and insolvency practices in New York.
