ATTORNEY PROFILE

Ms. Dean is an associate in the Finance and Infrastructure Development practices. Prior to joining the firm, she worked principally as a banking and finance solicitor in the energy and marine sectors.

Ms. Dean has experience advising both banks and borrowers on a variety of banking and finance transactions, including loans to exploration and production companies, acquisition finance, asset finance and project finance in these sectors.

Previous legal experience includes working for a leading Scottish law firm in Aberdeen where she established the banking department; as in-house counsel for Lloyds TSB Bank plc in London on a short term contract; as in-house counsel at Sumitomo Corporation in Tokyo for two years on a secondment; and in the ship finance team in a leading international City of London law firm including six months in their Moscow office.

Ms. Dean has also been involved in volunteer work for charities, including drafting a national policy for persons with disabilities for the Belize Council for the Visually Impaired in Belize and working as a teacher for a year at the Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre in Pakistan.
