Thomas Geuther  is a partner in the International Arbitration group at Curtis.

He has extensive experience in investment treaty arbitration; multi-jurisdictional litigation; complex commercial disputes related to energy, mining, infrastructure, construction, and M&A and shareholder issues; and corporate governance and regulatory matters. He has advised national governments, major global corporations and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Mr. Geuther ’s broad international arbitration experience has been garnered providing counsel in arbitration matters under the auspices of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the DIFC-LCIA, and in ad hoc arbitrations, including matters under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.

In addition to arbitration, Mr. Geuther is experienced in commercial litigation, having managed multi-jurisdictional litigation cases in London, and appearing as counsel in the New Zealand courts on complex commercial disputes.  He has served as the judge’s clerk to the President of New Zealand’s Court of Appeal.

Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Geuther served as national partner in the Dubai office of a major international law firm, where he advised state and corporate clients on high-value arbitration and litigation matters and white-collar crime investigations.

Mr. Geuther has also served as executive director in a large professional services firm, spearheading their international arbitration and litigation practice.
