Mexico City-based partner Kate Brown de Vejar was featured as a panelist at the Latin Lawyer/GAR Live Summit, which took place in Miami on Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Ms. Brown de Vejar’s panel, entitled “How to choose an arbitrator: A masterclass,” provided an overview of the factors to consider when selecting an arbitrator, as well as the process for effectuating the selection, including tools for conducting due diligence.
Following the conference, Latin Lawyer published an article entitled, “How essential is public law experience in investor-state cases?” which draws heavily upon Ms. Brown de Vejar’s panel in discussing institutional arbitrators’ experience, background and diversity.
