Mexico City partner Kate Brown de Vejar will participate as a featured speaker at the 29th Annual Workshop of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA), taking place from June 14-16 in Dallas, Texas. The ITA Workshop is widely recognized as one of the leading conferences in the field of international arbitration in the United States.
Ms. Brown de Vejar will speak on a panel entitled, “Practicing International Arbitration During Challenging Times: Should We All Have Gone For Safe Corporate Law Careers Instead?!” which will focus on challenges young practitioners face and will provide insights into opportunities, over- and under-specialization and possible alternative career paths, in addition to the traditional partnership track most Big Law associates pursue. The panel will be moderated by Pierre Amariglio (Tenor Capital Management Company, L.P., New York), and Ms. Brown de Vejar will be joined by fellow panelists Ben Love (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, New York), Yanett Quiroz (ICDR, Houston) and Deva Villanúa (Armesto & Asociados, Madrid).
