Shekhtman, Alisa

Alisa Shekhtman is an associate in the Litigation and International Arbitration groups. Her practice focuses on commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitration, particularly in the construction industry.

Ms. Shekhtman has represented sovereign states and state-owned entities in international commercial arbitrations and investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Ms. Shekhtman’s practice also includes cross-border commercial litigation. Her pro bono work includes work with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Shekhtman served as an intern at the Public International Law and Policy Group in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Ms. Shekhtman was Co-President of the Yale Society of International Law, as well as a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team and the Nonprofit Organizations Clinic.
