Frank J. Marinaro is a Corporate partner based in the New York office. Mr. Marinaro has experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, investment-management, securities regulation, and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Marinaro was based in Beijing, and worked as managing director and general counsel for China and South East Asia at a multinational private equity firm, where he supervised on regional legal and regulatory matters, led an investment support group and advised on investments on over 60 portfolio companies in consumer, financial services, energy, healthcare (including services, pharmaceuticals and devices), real estate, and TMT across offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has also worked as managing director and chief financial officer for the firm’s China and South East division.

Mr. Marinaro has also established and led a U.S. law firm’s Beijing operation, its first office in Asia. Before that, Mr. Marinaro worked as co-head of the Strategic M&A and Global Private Equity Counsel Group at Merrill Lynch. While there, he coordinated legal and regulatory matters for private equity and strategic investments in North America, Europe, Thailand, Latin America, Australia, China, Thailand, Japan and India. Mr. Marinaro also currently serves as board treasurer and member of the Board of Trustees of Western Academy of Beijing.
