Peter Buenger’s restructuring and insolvency practice focuses on representing debtors, foreign representatives, official creditors’ committees, equity committees, potential purchasers and unsecured creditors on bankruptcy proceedings, distressed asset sales, out-of-court restructurings and claims trading. He has acted in domestic Chapter 15 cases in the U.S. as well as many international Chapter 11 proceedings.

Bankruptcy Litigation

Mr. Buenger is notable for his experience of complex bankruptcy litigation and has advised debtors, committees, creditors and fiduciaries in a variety of adversary proceedings and contested matters.

His work highlights include representing a Mexican government development bank on the insolvency proceedings of Spain’s largest energy company. He has also been a key member of the team in a range of complex bankruptcy cases, including Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and its affiliates.
