Mr. Honeywell is chair of Curtis’ Restructuring and Insolvency practice, and a seasoned bankruptcy partner with nearly three decades of experience in the United States and internationally.

His practice includes advising lenders and funds on enforcing creditors’ rights, defending clients in bankruptcy litigation proceedings, structuring finance and M&A deals to mitigate insolvency risks, and serving as counsel on many notable Chapter 11 restructurings and adversary proceedings.

Mr. Honeywell’s clients include U.S. and international investment funds, lenders, creditors and suppliers. He has deep experience in the U.S. Bankruptcy Code’s safe harbor provisions and bankruptcy clawback actions and has represented his clients in prominent litigations in the bankruptcy courts and at the appellate level. He has also advised on bankruptcy recharacterization and “true sale” risks in M&A and financial transactions, distressed asset purchases, and broker-dealer collateral custody issues under the U.S. Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA).

Mr. Honeywell is also a co-founder and board member of The Brick Theater, Inc. in Brooklyn, and is active in efforts to expand broadband to underserved communities in upstate New York’s Columbia County.
