Sawsan Al-Balushi is an associate in the firm’s litigation group, licensed to conduct advocacy for clients before the Primary and Appellate Courts in Oman.
Ms. Al-Balushi has handled a wide range of civil, commercial, administrative and employment cases, as well as acting for individuals charged under the Criminal Procedural Law. In addition to her drafting skills and in-depth understanding of law and practice, she is known for providing clients with practical advice and assistance. Ms. Al-Balushi’s special focus is on the resolution of disputes in the fast-developing field of labour law.
Ms. Al-Balushi is an active member of the Omani Lawyers’ Association and is often invited to comment on the profession to the media. In 2014, she was selected as Oman’s participant in the prestigious International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP) in the U.S., a professional exchange programme sponsored by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Prior to joining Curtis, she trained and worked for five years in private practice at a leading Omani law firm in Muscat.
