Corporate counsel Zainab Aziz advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and initial public offerings, and also has significant experience of banking and finance law, advising on financings, loan syndications and related matters conducted under the principles of Islamic Finance.

Ms. Aziz has advised governments, state-owned investment funds and banks in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Pakistan on complex transactions, including inward-and outward-bound investments, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructurings of state-owned entities. Ms. Aziz also advises startups and has acted as an advisor to an Abu Dhabi-based incubator. A New York-qualified attorney, she speaks English and Urdu fluently, regularly using both languages to consult with clients. Prior to joining Curtis, she worked as a corporate lawyer in Karachi, Pakistan and later in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
