French-qualified corporate partner Remy Lerner’s practice is focused on domestic and international investment transactions in Europe, the United States and Africa, particularly in the energy sector.

Corporate and Commercial

Mr. Lerner has broad experience of mergers and acquisitions, projects and infrastructure and restructurings across industries such as energy, mining and telecommunications. He notably advises states, government agencies and state-owned companies on oil and gas transactions, including for upstream and downstream development projects. His expertise includes advising on the revisions of the legal and contractual framework for the hydrocarbons sector, and the structuring and completion of major oil and gas, mining and energy projects in a number of African states. His experience also extends to the drafting and negotiating of complex commercial and industrial agreements, cross-border joint venture arrangements and strategic alliances.

Mr. Lerner is a member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN, formerly AIPN) and of the Paris Bar Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) Committee.
