David McCarthy concentrates his practice on a broad range of dispute resolution matters, including complex commercial litigation, investigations, international commercial disputes, investor-state disputes and international commercial arbitration.

Litigation and International Arbitration

Mr. McCarthy is an experienced litigator and has acted for clients frequently before the English High Courts, including the Commercial Court, the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal. He also has significant trial and appellate experience, appearing in the New Zealand High Courts, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and administrative tribunals.

Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. McCarthy spent a number of years at another international firm in London, focusing on large-scale commercial litigation and contentious regulatory matters. He also spent time on secondment at a large UK retail and investment bank advising on complex commercial litigation and financial crime-related matters.
