Amrane Medjani is an associate in the international arbitration and international trade groups of the firm based in the firm’s Paris and Geneva offices. He represents states, public entities and private clients in both investment and commercial international arbitrations as well as international disputes. He acted in proceedings under the major arbitration rules including ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC rules.

Mr. Medjani has experience representing clients in various industries including construction, infrastructure projects, insurance, airport concessions, oil and gas, telecommunications and renewables in South East Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

He also regularly advises clients on issues of public international law and human rights law. He represents clients before the International Court of Justice as well as other regional and international bodies.

Mr. Medjani also has experience representing clients before the World Trade Organization and advising on international trade issues. He gained experience representing sovereigns and private clients in countervailing duties investigations before the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Mr. Medjani’s experience before national courts include advising clients in set aside and enforcement proceedings before French and Swiss courts.

A native Arabic and French speaker, Mr. Medjani is also fluent in English and Spanish and regularly uses these languages in legal proceedings and to interact with clients. He is also able to understand Italian. Mr. Medjani teaches international law at Sciences Po Paris.
