Lynn P. Harrison 3rd to Moderate Panel at the New York State Bar Association’s Music Business and Law Conference

New York-based Restructuring and Insolvency partner Lynn P. Harrison 3rd will moderate a panel at the Annual Music Business and Law Conference, presented by the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. The Annual Music Business and Law Conference will take place on Friday, November 17, 2017 at New York Law School, 185 West Broadway, New York, NY. Corporate partner Andrew Seiden is a member of the planning committee for the conference.

Mr. Harrison’s panel, entitled “You Don’t Know What You’ve Got Till It’s Gone – The Implications of Bankruptcy,” will explore the practical intersection between bankruptcy law and the music industry, covering topics including bankruptcy treatment of unpublished works, copyright licenses and trademarks, as well as the unique benefits of buying and selling assets in a bankruptcy proceeding. The panel will include Allen G. Kadish (DiConza Traurig Kadish LLP); Melinda D. Middlebrooks (Middlebrooks Shapiro, P.C.) and David B. Shemano (Robins Kaplan LLP). The conference will also feature a keynote luncheon address by Willard Ahdritz, the Founder/CEO of Kobalt, and panels covering music publishing and digital media, music business basics, ethics, tour accounting, and contemporary intellectual property issues.

The Music Business and Law Conference brings together speakers from the music industry, law firms and accounting firms to discuss a broad scope of current issues affecting the music business. Registrants are entitled to up to 6 MCLE Credits or 7 CPE Credits.
