Mr. Callinan is Counsel in the Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Entertainment and Oil and Gas groups.
He regularly advises European, US and GCC corporations with respect to investments in the region. He also advises corporations on acquisitions, disposals and matters concerning private investment funds within the region and internationally. He is often required to provide general corporate advisory and corporate regulatory advice.
Mr. Callinan has considerable experience advising clients with respect to oil and gas related exploration and production contracts, as well as advising State oil and gas regulatory authorities on contract administration and oversight.
He advises a wide range of international clients in the hospitality sector on franchising and licensing matters, and with respect to the expansion of brands into the GCC region from the US and Europe. He also advises numerous food and beverage related clients based in the GCC with respect to their day-to-day operations.
Mr. Callinan has experience advising on matters in post-conflict jurisdictions and emerging economies including countries of the former SFR Yugoslavia and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, where he has represented local and international clients and various government ministries.
