Partner Michael S. Schwartz to Speak at CBIT's 34th Annual Spring Fiduciary Tax Day

Partner Michael S. Schwartz will speak at the Committee of Banking Institutions on Taxation’s 34th Annual Spring Fiduciary Tax Day conference, taking place on Wednesday, July 17th in New York City.

Mr. Schwartz will present a session entitled, “Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax Exemption Allocation: Often Automatic, But Rarely Straightforward,” which will focus on the complex rules governing the automatic allocation of generation-skipping transfer tax exemption in the context of gifts to trusts, as well as common mistakes when reporting those transfers on gift tax returns and strategies for avoiding them.
