Established in 1973, Curtis’ Paris office handles both international and French corporate matters and international arbitration. The team offers a compelling combination of an in-depth understanding of French law and business practices combined with the resources of an international law firm in Paris.
Curtis’ Paris office is a center of excellence in international arbitration. The team undertakes arbitrations under the ICSID, ICC, UNCITRAL and other arbitration rules. The international arbitration team is known for its expertise in both investment treaty and commercial arbitration. The team also represents corporations, private equity funds, entrepreneurs and family-owned companies.
Curtis deepened its domestic corporate capabilities by bringing on board respected French niche corporate firm Bichot & Associés into our Paris office in January 2021. Our combined corporate capabilities, operating as a unified single team, includes both French and international tax capability, is highly respected and is a trusted advisor to French and multinational corporations, private equity funds, family offices and entrepreneurs. The team handles sophisticated and complex corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, public takeovers, corporate reorganisations, as well as insolvency and restructuring.
The multidisciplinary team, many of whom are admitted to practice in both Paris and New York, are multilingual and include lawyers who have business degrees in addition to their law degrees.
The office operates as part of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle (France) LLP a UK limited liability partnership.
