Founded in 1830, our historic origins are rooted in the United States, and we maintain a strong U.S. practice. However, almost all of our current work has an international aspect to it. Over time, we have become one of the few truly international law firms. "International" for us does not only mean having clients that operate in a world characterized by the unprecedented movement of capital, goods and services across many different countries and continents. It also means that our attorneys possess a unique understanding of the professional and cultural aspects of business as it is done around the world. This understanding reflects the tradition of the firm and its culture today.

We now have 19 offices on four continents and continue to grow and expand into new markets. Our matters rank among the most complex, intriguing and cutting-edge legal challenges that exist today.
