Affaires d’États: Practical Considerations When Defending States in International Arbitration

Curtis' International Arbitration group was pleased to welcome over 400 participants to our webinar events held during Paris Arbitration Week. A recording of the first of these events, "Affaires d’États: Practical Considerations When Defending States in International Arbitration," which took place on March 28, 2022, is available to watch below.

The program explores difficulties that arise for States at all stages of the arbitral process, from responding to the request for arbitration to selecting arbitrators, organizing the State’s defense and allocating resources, identifying relevant documentation and witnesses, and securing approval from relevant State authorities.
