London, June 20, 2011 - Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP has announced that Anthony Smith has joined the firm as a partner in its Infrastructure Development practice. He will be based in London.
Mr. Smith moves to Curtis from the Farne Project Consultancy, which he created in 2007 as a legal consultancy to develop public-private partnership (PPP) frameworks and infrastructure projects in Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and the developing world. He previously handled projects work at Simmons & Simmons and Denton Hall.
'Tony Smith is recognized globally for his expertise with PPPs and his ability to help clients around the world with major infrastructure and construction projects,” said Matias A. Vega, managing partner for Curtis. “We are very excited to add Tony and his experience to our rapidly expanding office in London.”
Mr. Smith is a member of the UNECE Business Advisory Board, a member of the PPP Team of Specialists of U.N.E.C.E., Head of the United Nations PPP Readiness Task Force and an Associate Capacity Building Expert of UNDP Asia Pacific. He has conducted PPP capacity building training and lectured extensively on PPP-related topics around the world.
