Counsel Mohannad A. El Murtadi Suleiman Addresses “Africanization” of International Investment Law

On January 25, 2024, Counsel Mohannad A. El Murtadi Suleiman published a blog post on the Kluwer Arbitration Blog discussing the “Africanization” of international investment law in view of the Agreement Establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (the AfCFTA) and the Africa Arbitration Academy’s Model Bilateral Investment Treaty. The topic was recently discussed at New York’s first Africa Arbitration Day, held in December 2023, where Mohannad moderated a panel that analyzed the issue in light of recent developments in Africa.
