Mohannad A. El Murtadi to Moderate a Panel on New York’s First Africa Arbitration Day

On December 8, 2023, Counsel Mohannad A. El Murtadi Suleiman will moderate a panel on NY's first Africa Arbitration Day. The event is co-hosted by the New York City Bar Association and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution. It will be held in person at the NY City Bar building at 42 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036. Participants can also join virtually by visiting the CPR’s webpage regarding this event (link below).

The panel will discuss the Investment Protocol of the Agreement Establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area and a model BIT that the Africa Arbitration Academy issued in July 2022 as a standard BIT that African states can adopt. It will include speakers from academia and practitioners and shed light on some of the most salient features of the Investment Protocol and BIT.
