Curtis Attorneys Featured at ASIL Abroad Buenos Aires

Curtis attorneys will participate in ASIL Abroad Buenos Aires, which will take place on 6-7 July 2026. The conference is part of the American Society of International Law’s global series launched to reflect the Society’s increasingly international membership, now comprising over 40% non-U.S. members. ASIL Abroad was co-created by Curtis Partner Simon Batifort, who has held various leadership positions at ASIL including most recently as Vice President.

Curtis attorneys participating in ASIL Abroad Buenos Aires include:

  1. Associate Belén Ibañez serves on the Program Committee for ASIL Abroad Buenos Aires and has played an active role in shaping the conference agenda.
  2. Partner Fernando Tupa will speak on the panel “From Washington to Buenos Aires: Did ISDS Deliver on its Founding Promise?”, which will examine whether ICSID has fulfilled its original objectives in Latin America and how the region’s experience informs current debates on investor-State dispute settlement.
  3. Partner Luciana Ricart serves as a member of the Host Committee for ASIL Abroad Buenos Aires and will speak on the panel “Business and Human Rights: Corporate Accountability in Today’s International Legal Order”.
