Curtis Attorneys John Balouziyeh and Olivia Wang Publish Article on the Recognition of the New Syrian Government and the Lifting of Sanctions

Curtis attorneys John Balouziyeh and Olivia Wang published an article entitled “Syria’s Roadmap to Recovery: Government Recognition, Lifting Sanctions and Transitional Governance” in the spring edition of National Security Law Quarterly. Mr. Balouziyeh and Ms. Wang argue that the new Syrian government’s next steps will directly impact whether states confer recognition to the transitional government, whether the U.S. and E.U. will ultimately lift sanctions on Syria, and the extent of humanitarian aid and foreign investment that will flow into Syria.
