New York, February 11, 2015 — Jeffrey Ostrager, partner and co-chair of the Corporate Department and chair of the Securities Practice Group at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, has been chosen as a BTI Client Service All-Star for Law Firms for the fourth straight year.
Mr. Ostrager is one of only eight lawyers to achieve this honor for each of the past four years, making him a BTI Client Service All-Star MVP.
The BTI Client Service All-Stars is an elite group of attorneys nominated solely and exclusively by corporate counsel in the BTI Consulting Group's independent study as 'delivering the absolute best client service.' 354 individual attorneys from 214 leading law firms were selected as 2015 BTI Client Service All-Stars. The honor is based on responses from legal decision makers at organizations with more than $1 billion in revenue. BTI does not accept law firm submissions, attorney self-nominations or law firm suggestions as to which corporate counsel are interviewed.
“Responsiveness is critical to high quality client service for a lawyer because my clients, in-house legal departments, are under intense pressure to respond quickly to their clients,” said Mr. Ostrager about his approach to client service. “Likewise, communicating in a business-friendly manner is critical because the usefulness of advice is measured by its clarity. Pragmatism, creativity, anticipating issues and understanding my clients' businesses are all, it goes without saying, essential to serving clients. And, in this environment, cost efficiency is also crucial.”
Mr. Ostrager represents public and private company clients in a range of transactions, including equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and debt restructurings. He counsels public companies on corporate governance, securities law compliance and executive compensation matters. In addition, Mr. Ostrager advises private equity and investment funds in buyouts and investor rights matters.
The BTI Consulting Group, “the leading provider of strategic market research to law firms and professional services firms,” bases its analysis on 'candid feedback from corporate counsel at the world's largest organizations. BTI asks General Counsel and their direct reports to delineate, unprompted, the attorneys who drive superior client relationships.'
