Curtis was once again named one of the leading law firms operating in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in Legal 500’s latest EMEA guide. Curtis was identified as a leading top-tier firm in three different practice areas and recommended in over ten others, spanning five countries within the region. The latest guide recommended 26 attorneys across diverse practice areas with two individuals in their Hall of Fame, three individuals in the elite Leading Lawyers group and one Rising Star.
The Legal 500 guides review the strength and strategies of law firms in over 150 jurisdictions. Researchers speak to thousands of law firm clients in order to identify the best law firms around the globe. Curtis has retained its Tier 1 rankings in Kazakhstan, attained a new Tier 1 ranking in Oman, a new 'firms to watch' alert in Italy and remained poised with all of its rankings maintained in Italy, France, Oman, and UAE. It gained recognitions for several new leading individuals, newly recommended lawyers and a new Hall of Fame entry.
Managing partner of the Almaty office, Askar Moukhitdinov, has been placed in the Hall of Fame and Susan Maples has been noted as a Leading Individual in the Legal 500: EMEA 2024 for Kazakhstan Energy and Natural Resources.
Managing partner of the Paris office, Geoffroy Lyonnet continues in the Legal 500: EMEA 2024 Hall of Fame for France Dispute Resolution: International Arbitration. Clients added, “[He] is the team’s strategist.”
Milan partner, Irene Petrelli has also been ranked in the Legal 500: EMEA 2024 Leading Individuals for Italy Disputes. A client stated, “I would like to recommend Irene Petrelli….she is an excellent counsel that every legal team needs her presence.”
Recognized as a Rising Star in the Legal 500: EMEA 2024 for Kazakhstan Energy and Natural Resources, clients say Nurlan Mukhitdonov “is an expert in Kazakh corporate, tax, subsoil and environmental laws.”
The newly minted tier 1 team in the Legal 500: EMEA 2024 for Oman Dispute Resolution has been praised by clients as an “experienced arbitration team who know the Oman arbitration market inside and out.”
