Juan Perla and Enrique J. Urdaneta Publish on AI in Arbitration for Latin American Law Journal

Partner Juan Perla and associate Enrique J. Urdaneta published an article titled, “Artificial Intelligence in Arbitration: Ally and Adversary,” in the inaugural issue of the Annual Law Journal of the Latin-American Arbitration Association (Asociación Latinoamericana de Arbitraje - ALARB).

The article, written in Spanish, explores how AI is reshaping arbitration, highlighting its benefits and the challenges it poses. The authors offer a global overview of emerging efforts to regulate the use of AI in arbitration, including guidelines from arbitral institutions, the European Union’s regulatory framework, and legislative developments in Latin America.
