This session is particularly important because of Africa’s vast natural resources. Panelists will explore opportunities and challenges pertaining to energy sovereignty in Africa, obligations to address energy poverty, and impacts of the transition to renewable energy on the continent’s natural resources. Mr. Gadio will be joined on the panel by Immanuel Mulunga, the managing director of NAMCOR (National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia), Paul McDade, the CEO and founder of Afentra - a UK-based Oil Company operating in Africa, and NJ Ayuk - the chairman of Africa Energy Chamber. Shakwa Nyambe, the managing partner of SNC Law in Namibia, will moderate.
