Marat Umerov participated in American Society of International Law debate

Associate Marat Umerov participated in the American Society of International Law’s third installment of its Young Arbitrator Debate Series. The event took place on October 6, 2016 in Washington, D.C.

The debate assessed whether arbitral tribunals and organizations are properly equipped to handle guerilla tactics and whether these institutions should make better use of tools currently available to them. Dr. Umerov debated Juan Merizalde Urdaneta of Dechert LLP while Simon Consedine of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer moderated.
