Marat Umerov participated in panel at the Doing Business with the Eurasian Economic Union Conference

Associate Marat Umerov participated in a panel at the third annual “Doing Business with the Eurasian Economic Union Conference,” held in Washington, D.C. on November 28, 2016. The event was sponsored by the Eurasia Center and the Eurasian Business Coalition in cooperation with the Russian Trade Representation and the Russian Cultural Centre.

Dr. Umerov spoke about dispute resolution mechanisms under the laws of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including at the Court of the EAEU, and the EAEU’s first Free Trade Agreement with Vietnam. His fellow panelists included Valery Medvedev, senior partner at Gorodissky & Partners; Timothy O’Toole, an attorney at Miller & Chevalier Chartered; and moderator Tom Thomson, president of T. Thomson & Associates LLC.
