Partner Michael S. Schwartz has been named as program chair of the New York State Bar Association’s upcoming Trusts and Estates Law Section Spring Meeting. The conference will cover complex estate planning matters in light of recent developments including the U.S. Federal tax reform, changes to New York State’s estate and fiduciary income laws, as well as the In re Hoppenstein case’s effect on decanting New York trusts. The meeting is set to take place at Sea Island, Georgia from May 2-6, 2018.
In addition to his role as program chair, Mr. Schwartz currently chairs the Estate and Trust Administration Committee of the NYSBA’s Trusts and Estates Law section.
