New York Partner Eduardo A. Cukier Presented at the Latin Lawyer Live 4th Annual Tax Conference

Eduardo Cukier, tax partner in the NY office, presented on a panel of five leading tax professionals from Mexico and the United States on the implications of the U.S. tax reform under the 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act on investment of U.S. multinationals into Latin America as well as Latin American investment into the United States. The panel addressed the potential ramifications of the Global Low Taxed Income (GILTI), Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII), and Base Erosion Anti-Abuse Tax, and other recent tax developments, on cross-border investment between the United States and Latin America. The Conference was attended by leading tax advisors from many jurisdictions in Latin America, as well as from Spain and the United States.
