Partner Claudia Frutos-Peterson speaks on International Investment Law and Human Rights at 57th IABA Conference

Washington, D.C. Managing Partner Claudia Frutos-Peterson spoke on a panel entitled, “International Investment Law and Human Rights: Trends and Contact Points,” at the 57th Annual Conference of the Inter-American Bar Association on August 18, 2021. Ms. Frutos-Peterson’s panel, held in Spanish, explored the evolution of foreign investment treaties, from BITs to FTAs, focusing on the sometimes conflicting aims of protecting foreign investments vs. the exercise of regulatory powers.
