Trust and Estates and Private Client Partner Michael Schwartz will speak at the upcoming New York State Bar Association’s Trust & Estates Law Section Spring Meeting. Mr. Schwartz’s presentation is entitled “Florida Trust Considerations for the New York Practitioner,” and will examine some of the unique features of Florida trust law that differ from New York trust law, from annual accounting requirements to the impact of homestead laws on trusts. Mr. Schwartz will be speaking with another presenter, and will provide the New York practitioner perspective. The presentation will also include drafting tips and suggest methods for anticipating and tackling hot button issues.
The meeting will take place in Florida on May 16-18, 2019. Mr. Schwartz has also been recently named the First District Representative for the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section, and formerly served as the chair of the Estate and Trust Administration Committee.
