Partner Simon Batifort has been appointed as co-chair of the Annual Meeting Committee for the 115th Annual Meeting of the American Society of International Law (ASIL), set to take place from March 24-27, 2021. In this role, he will lead all aspects of planning the 2021 Annual Meeting, together with the other co-chairs Christie Edwards (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) and Darin Johnson (Howard Law School).
ASIL recently announced the theme for the 2021 Annual Meeting, “Reconceiving International Law: Creativity in Times of Crisis,” and is currently accepting session proposals for five different program tracks. For more information, please visit https://www.asil.org/events/AM2021.
Mr. Batifort is also a member of the Annual Meeting Committee for the ASIL 2020 Annual Meeting, which will be held virtually for the first time this year, and he was recently elected to a three-year term as co-chair of ASIL’s Dispute Resolution Interest Group.
