Samuel Dangremond publishes article for the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section

Trusts & Estates associate Samuel Dangremond has published an article for eReport, a publication of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law (RPTE), that discusses the importance of digital assets in the context of estate planning and how trusts and estates practitioners can assist clients with addressing issues related to accounting for their electronic assets.

In this practical article. Mr. Dangremond highlights helpful solutions for safeguarding and documenting clients’ passwords and other electronic information, creating a plan related to how these digital accounts will be handled after a client’s death, designating legacy contacts and sharing the digital asset plan with clients’ legal representatives. The article also includes sample language for a digital asset provision in a Will.
