Askar Moukhitdinov is a partner in the Corporate and Oil and Gas groups. His practice focuses on matters related to the oil and gas industries. He has particular experience with debt and equity financings and the negotiation of gas sales contracts and servicing agreements for clients with operations in Kazakhstan and Russia.
Mr. Moukhitdinov's practice also involves venture capital, project finance and international business matters. In addition, his experience comprises commercial real estate, commercial leasing agreements and real estate sales agreements, as well as the structuring of these types of transactions.
His contribution to the development of Kazakhstan's legal profession and to the development of the oil and gas industry has been widely recognized within Kazakhstan. He received a Medal for his contribution to the Development of Oil and Gas Industry in 2018; and both the Bene Merenti de Profession Medal and Professional of the Year Order in 2016.
Mr. Moukhitdinov has a Ph.D. from the Institute of State and Law and received his J.D. and LL.M. from Duke University School of Law (the Edmund S. Muskie Scholarship, which provides fellowships for Master's degree-level study to emerging leaders from Eurasia).
