Recognized by Chambers for his Private Client practice, Robert Sheehan is focussed on domestic and international estate and succession planning, all aspects of estate and trust administration, and related tax planning.
Primarily representing high-net-worth clients, Mr. Sheehan advises individuals, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, real estate developers, family offices and philanthropists. Mr. Sheehan advises a domestic and international clientele on wealth preservation and succession planning objectives. His is deeply experienced in contested fiduciary matters, tax controversy, representing charitable organizations and private foundations, and advising on family office and governance matters.
Along with being a partner, Mr. Sheehan also holds a number of fiduciary positions, serving as trustee or co-trustee of several personal trusts and is on the advisory board of several arts and cultural institutions in New York. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel since 1995 and sits on several of its Committees.
